MUTANT CORN CREATED TO FEND OFF AGENT ORANGE CHEMICAL

I do worry about overuse of herbisides on food crops. Why? Its because I'm kinda person who cares about my health, health that I can take care of more genertion and also for every one including new borns. A lot of families are buying their foods from groceries. But is it safe? I dont think so! Specially when a company named Montano created a sprayed on ,it is genetically  modified crops like corn and soy beans. Montano company created a product called "ROUNDUP". A ready soy bean seeds have allowed farmers to easily control weed  with the herbicide 2,4-D (roundup). But round up reresistant weeds as a giant ragwood, it can destroy about 93% of the soy bean crop.

According to the Times, however, "Most export agrees that the harm from Orange was caused by the other ingredients, 2,4.5- T, witch was taken off the market long time ago. By contrast, 2,4-D, first approved in late year 40's is considered safe enough for use in many home lawn care products"."Superweeds" resistant to the herbicide ( known as Roundup) have infested million of hectares of crop land through much of the U.S. and more areas of South west Ontario. Farmers allow controlling weeds with the herbicide without harming the crops themselves. Such weeds can double or triple the cost of weed control, and higher food price. The impact of Roundup resistant crops in Canada where they are relatively new supernatural and confined to part of Ontario. They credited good crop rotation practices and lower adoption of Roundup ready crop compared to the U.S.

Company has been recommending to the farmers practise such as crop rotation, tilling their fields from time to time if it is appropriate, and using other herbicides to help to control the weeds. It is also working on genetically modified crop that are resistant to other herbicide such as " dicamba - resistance soy beans "
