Dinner & A Movie

NO RESERVATION

In Manhattan, the workaholic Kate is the chef of the 22 Bleecker Restaurant owned by Paula, who sent her to a therapist because she had no other interest in life but cooking and controlling her kitchen. She runs her kitchen at a rapid pace as she coordinates the making and preparing of all the fantastic meals and personally displays the food to perfection on every dish.Kate has pride in her work and does not subscribe to the popular belief that the costumer are always right. She intimidates everyone around her, so her boss sends her to therapy. Kate hates to leave the kitchen when a customer wants to compliment her on one of her special dishes, but she is ready to leave the kitchen in a second when a customer insults her cooking.Kate is the master chef of the restaurant. When her only sister dies in a car accident, Kate becomes the guardian of her niece Zoe (her niece) , who can not overcome the loss of her mother. Zoe live with her aunt Kate. Kate struggled to be a parent to Zoe. Paula orders Kate to take a couple of weeks off to take care of Zoe; when Kate returns to the work, she finds that Paula hired the sub-chef Nick without Kates approval. Nick is Italian trained chef. Nick explains that he is honoured to work with Kate, but the jealous Kate does not trust him and believes he wants her position. Zoe doesn't eat what ever Kate cooks, but when Nick cooks spaghetti for Zoe, she eat it like a hungry cute angle. When Zoe gets close to Nick and invites him to have dinner with Kate and Zoe , she changes her feelings for Nick. But when his work is recognized by the clients of the restaurant, Kate believes she committed a mistake.

This movie attract my taste buds trough its romance and food history. This romantic comedy movie has some serious themes, like the death of a single parent and an aunt who must care for her orphaned niece. Although it's rated PG and stars popular child, the film's protagonist, an emotionally withdrawn chef who doesn't have any healthy relationships, is not going to seem compelling. There's some  romance in  but not the kind you would expect from a romantic comedy. The emotional connection between Kate and the cuisine, she artfully creates is entertaining and satisfying. But Kate's slow but predictable relationship with the restaurant's carefree new sous chef Nick, he is less exciting than watching the many close-ups of cuisine.Even though Kate hates Nick at the end they work together as a family with Zoe. They make a profit enough to have their own restaurant named "Zoe's, Nick's,  and Kate's Restaurant" .These may be attractive and they lack convincing chemistry. The dramedy (drama and comedy) also perpetuates the idea that ambitious, professionally successful women all have lonely personal lives. Still, at its heart, this is the typical odd-couple romantic movie with a little girl "Zoe".

If I would give them an overall star rank rating, I would give them a perfect 5 because I don't have any reason to give them less that. I mean its perfect for me, they have a good romance story, it also reflects to the history of the people in the movie ( Kate) because she likes to be perfect in cooking like me.And also because of what they cooks makes me hungry,

CHEFS FOR TODAY'S FOOD

MIXED BERRY PANCAKES

Starting food for breakfast is mixed berry pancake. An adult and kid-friendly breakfast with these delectable Mixed Berry Pancakes. The movie is totally NOT about pancakes. It's about a gourmet chef who has to learn how to feed a child, her niece who moves in with her due to unforeseen circumstances. At the end of the movie she finally figures it out. And then, there are pancakes and happy people across the board. These pancakes would certainly make me happy. ;-)

TIRAMISU CAKE

This is when the romance in the movie " No Reservation" starts; when Zoe get absent to Kate because she forget Zoe to pick up after school .Zoe ask for a wish to Kate, her wish is to cook in the house with Nick. Nick made this "Tiramisu" in the movie for Kate, even though Kate doesn't eat dessert they still shared. That's why I made this Tiramisu.

STAKE

This stake have a funny story in the movie. I cooked this because of the scene when Kate gets mad of a guy in number fifteen table who complained twice so Kate get pissed off and come out from the kitchen with the raw stake. Then she stab the raw meat with pork in the guys table, after that she said to Paula " I feel good " and then she took off her apron and give it to her fellow worker, and then she called a taxi and took off from the restaurant. That's why I choose stake. I made the souse by my own recipe, its made from avocado and warm spices with lemon skin.
